Average Rating: Rating: - I love this thing The wine saver is great in so many ways. Obviously it's wonderful to be able to open a bottle of wine and have it stay good for a day or two, especially if you just like one glass with dinner. This lets you open up and enjoy more expensive wine since you won't waste the whole rest of the bottle. If you are interested in learning about wines, you'll probably want to open up 2 or more wines at a time to compare them, and this way you won't waste anything. The wine saver will keep the undrunk portion until the next time. I do recommend putting the bottle in the fridge if you don't drink it the next day. Just pull the bottle out an hour before you want to drink it if it's red. Rating: - Easier to Use than Standard Vacu Vin I have used both this product and the standard (cheaper) Vacu-Vin...pay the premium and buy this product, as it is SUBTANTIALLY easier to use. In addition to being more stylish than the standard Vacu Vin, the stoppers on this product are easier to use and the pumping mechanism "clicks" when you have pumped enough air out of the wine bottle...the standard model just leaves you guessing about how much air has been removed. Rating: - Don't know what I did without it I've been a big fan of Vacu Vin for years. I needed to purchase new stoppers for my older model Vacu Vin, and saw this newer model with the "popping" sound to indicate when you can stop pumping air. This model far exceeds the older model - it is wonderful! It is so much easier to pump, and I have had no problems with wine gone bad. I'd highly recommend replacing your older Vacu Vin with this one.
