Rating:  - What a Hunk of Junk!
I bought two of the cordless sharks. I was eager to try them out. The first day I used one the handle broke off at the bottom where it attached to the vac. I returned it to the SEARS where it was purchased and was cheerfully given another.
That one stripped a plastic gear and shot it across the room within ten minutes of use. I boxes that up and returned it along with the unused machine for a full refund. The clerk mentioned that there were "issues" with the product and they had many returned. Don't waste your time or money on this machine.
Rating: - Poor poor item.
I was extremly impressed with the shark performance for the first couple of weeks. After about 3 weeks, the shark starts grinding the cheap plastic gears because a little pressure is applied to the nose of the sweeper. The machine now makes a constant grinding noise due to broken teeth on the gears. I was pleased with the wall edge sweeping "technology" and also liked the cordless design, but the product is too cheap and has many many flaws. I do not recommened this to anyone. Please avoid at all costs. It will "sweep" your money away.

I really love this thing. The benefits are:1. Unbelieveably lightweight which saves my back
2. Being wireless, its quick and easy to use
3. The charge lasts long enough to vacum my whole house
4. My house is cleaner more of the time because I vacum more
5. My kids vacum with it
6. Its actually very FUN to use
7. My wife is happier with me because I keep the house cleaner.
8. Oddly enough, its a conversation piece
9. I am constantly surprized at how well it cleans up
10. Its quieter than a vacum
11. Major benefit - no bags! and simple to empty. There are some negatives: 1. There is a wierd grinding noise, even though it has not broken
2. Stringy items get caught in the rotary brushes. But this happens in vacum with electric brushes as well.
3. Can't fit everywhere to get dirt, you still have to sweep in hard to reach areas because there are no attachments. Overall I still give it 5 stars because the benefits, even after deducting the negatives, completely outweigh those of any vacum I have used.
